SUBSONIK — Spectre [EP] (2016)

Remember trance and bass? Subsonik does... And he's on a mission to bring it back. Four tracks deep, coming our way via SS's Formation, this is the US artist's biggest release to date. Starting with the riffy star-lit arpeggio of lead "Spectre" we're soon plunged deeper and deeper down Subsonik's cosmic rabbit hole: "No Cool" thumps with a neuro energy and relentless psy flurries, "Mitch Connor" takes us on a more 80s synth-charmed journey while "Find Our Way" brings us to an exultant conclusion with a John B style balance of bass grit and heavenly vocals. To infinity and beyond.
