Little Angels were one of several acts (Thunder being another prominent UK example) who appeared on the scene just before the grunge revolution transformed the heavy metal landscape. They still, however, managed to make an impact with their fresh take on traditional, hard rock.

Great King Rat released a spectacular Melodic Hard Rock album in 1992 to universal acclaim. Hard driven melodic rock but always catchy. Their first album is more and more considered as classic.

After recording the title for the Transformers animated film, they signed to Scotti Brothers and released their first full-length album, 1987's Dangerous Attraction. A great debut album from a very talented band Lion - "Dangerous Attraction", should have been a much bigger album and a more popular band, but in 1987 they just got over shadowed from bands like: Guns N' Roses, etc...

A band made up of weekend softball players! Bob Kulick (producer and guitarist) was one of my baseball buddies and he approached me on the field to see if I would help him finish some tracks. I had a short amount of time to write and record my bits but I managed to bring it in when he needed it. We named the band after the New York Yankee dynasty of the fifties. (David Glen Eisley)

Formed in 2001 by singer Paul Laine and guitarist Chris Matheson, the two songwriters shared a common desire to find their own sound, uncaring of the current trends. During the search for the rest of the Shugaazer line-up, they enlisted studio session drummer Pat Steward (formally of Bryan Adams & The Odds) to play on their recordings. During this time Pat suggested Roland Churchill to fill the drummer's chair, as Pat continued to tour with the Matthew Goode band. Shane Demers was only a natural choice to complete the band, as each member had played with him in different bands at different times.

In the great tradition of bands such as Stage Dolls, Evenrude and the mighty TNT, follow another Norwegian band. This time it's Tindrum, featuring former TNT drummer Diesel Dahl. The band were around for a few years, and released two albums prior to this one. The debut from 1988 'Drums Of War' (a very rare disc if ever there was one!) featured renowned female vocalist Tove, who later went on to the one-off project Misslead. By album no 2 'How Bout This', Tove was replaced by another singer with a pedigree with TNT: this time Dag Ingebrigtsen.

«Magnet To Steele» - дебютная работа, созданная усилиями исконных канадцев.
Такие песни, как «Love You 'Til It Hurts», «Move Over», «Murder In The First Degree» и «Magnet To Steele», - представляют собой действительно жесткий рок. Конечно же, в альбоме есть и типичные медляки, в числе которых композиции «Love Don't Last Forever» и «Cry Myself To Sleep».

Звучание Крисси Стил очень напоминает стиль другой канадской вокалистки - Дарби Миллз (Darby Mills) и группы Headpins (с некоторым налетом Ли Аарон (Lee Aaron)), и смысл этого, видимо в том, что диск изначально был задуман как аналог звучания Headpins. На самом деле «Magnet To Steele» является детищем основателя Headpins - Брайана Маклеода (Brian MacLeod), который спродюсировал, написал и сыграл партии большинства песен альбома.
