Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme left Barclay James Harvest in 1979, and released Maestoso the following year, with a remit very similar to that of his previous outfit. The album is vaguely progressive, but with a strong emphasis on songs, many of them veering sharply towards the 'commercial' end of the spectrum.

Family's sixth album and last with John Wetton, who left to join King Crimson (he had been asked 2 years earlier but declined at that time). Much more rockier than the previous albums. The extra tracks consist of a Rockin' R's and three live tracks recorded around the time of release. A good band with a mix of blusey art rock. A great addition to any 70's rock collection.

The first thing that strikes the listener of Acqua Fragile's second and final album, 1974's Mass Media Stars, is that singer Bernardo Lanzetti sounds remarkably like Peter Gabriel. These six lengthy songs would sound more than a little like Selling England By the Pound-era Genesis even without that vocal similarity, however.

Sebastian Hardie is the premier example of symphonic rock from Australia - a country where music in this vein is either very rare or unheard of. Hardie's recorded music seemed to be the inevitable consequence of the arrival of the mellotron in Australia and the musical influence of the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and the English progressives.

In 1979, Millo recorded 'Epic III', his first solo album. He and his band toured Australia promoting 'Epic III' as support act to Joan Armatrading ... however, as a result of the ongoing success of 'Against The Wind', there was great demand for Mario and co-composer Jon English to headline their own tour to promote 'Against the Wind'.

Henry Fool can be described as a psychedelic version of Porcupine Tree or Echolyn. Two tracks are actually mixed by Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree so there the connection is made. Also Tim Bowness, vocalist and guitar player on this album, is the vocalist of No-man in which he works together with Steve Wilson.

When Sebastian Hardie's debut album was released in 1975, the term "Symphonic Rock" was born in Australia. Featuring lush symphonic keyboard sounds you would expect to hear from an orchestra and the melodic, soulful guitar of Mario Millo, "FOUR MOMENTS" has become one of the all-time classic Progressive albums of the seventies. “Human Trafficking” is the third album of this band. Released at the end of 2004, CD entitled “Mirror Of Insanity” turned out to be a real sensation in progressive circles. Red Sand presented three long, very epic suites, which struck the chord with the fans of sound a’la Marillion. The following year, the next album saw the light of day. On “Gentry” Red Sand used patents similar to those on the previous album (two suites plus two shorter tracks), although they recorded it in the fundamentally changed lineup.
